The technology works by giving you access to a SharePoint folder specific to your business, which allows you to complete the templates for your monthly TB and add data quickly for both forecast and historic data.
There is a refresh button at the front of your platform that allows you to refresh the data on demand from your latest templates. To access your platform, you will be given access to ‘My Analytics’ through our website. This is accessible once you have logged in to your account.
You can download any of the outputs in an excel format. If you contact our team they can send you a direct link to the shared drive with the platform templates. To access your online platform, from our website you can either choose a free 30 day free trial or purchase the licences you require. You can always amend your subscription on the my account page. For instructions on how to get the platform up and running, please see our training videos or book an onboarding session with one of our team. The training videos also give an overview of the platform’s functionality if you want to learn more.
Our client manually produced their management accounts in excel. They had multiple companies which were consolidated together as a group. However, due to differing finance teams and systems the management accounts were inconsistent across the company. This meant that a lot of time was taken to analyse the financials and there were different financial items within key lines such as EBITDA.
This meant the business did not accurately know how profitable they were. The platform allowed them to map their TB codes in a consistent manner across all of their companies. It also gave them ability to look at contract level information, meaning they then had contract and regional P&Ls. This process saved the client a significant amount of time each month and allowed them to accurately track performance – it turned out they were making more EBITDA than they thought. The contract and regional P&Ls allowed them to share information with their regional teams to make them more accountable and aware of performance, consequently driving group performance.
